Who can apply for properties through Homechoice?
To apply for properties customers must first register for rehousing with Homechoice.
How do I apply to join the Homechoice register?
You will need to register on the Homechoice website and complete an online application form (under My Account).
How often are properties advertised?
Properties are advertised on a weekly basis. The bidding period opens from 00:01 Friday – 23:59 Tuesday . It is NOT a first come first served system and you can bid at any time during this period.
What information will the property advert contain?
Basic information will be included in the details such as size, type, floor level (if flat), type of heating, Council tax band, whether pets are allowed, details of any adaptations if adapted, any age-restriction or other restrictions which may apply.
How do I apply for a property?
The easiest and quickest way to place a bid is to log in to your account online and go to the property search. You will be able to see all the properties you are eligible to bid for and given an indication of your current bid position for that property.

Will I know how many other people are interested in the same property?
When you place a bid it will show your position at that time, however this may change as more bids are placed during the bidding period.
If I am offered a property, will I be able to view it before making my mind up?
Yes. You will be given an opportunity to view the property and decide whether you would like to accept it.
